Most experts are predicting that the 2021 holiday season will be one of the best yet as many Americans are more emotionally invested this year than in years past. According to a recent survey conducted by Quantum Metric, online sales are expected to continue to rise as the first half of this year has already seen a 16 percent increase in quarterly sales.

The survey revealed that roughly 64 percent of American consumers expect the upcoming season to be more meaningful than those in the past since many were unable to celebrate together last year due to the pandemic. This added sentiment is expected to be accompanied by added spending. Consumers won’t be buying just any old gift; they will be buying with their emotions seeking gifts that represent a personal connection with the recipient. They are aware that those special, one-of-a-kind gifts come with a price tag and are perfectly fine with it as most surveyed are upping their holiday budgets.
